BPO – Continuing the investment promotion program in Japan. This afternoon, June 28th in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, an investment promotion conference between Binh Phuoc province and Japanese enterprises took place.
Mr. Nguyen Van Loi – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Ngoc Trai – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Huynh Anh Minh – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan – General Director of Becamex IDC co-chaired the workshop.
Attending the workshop was Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh – Standing Committee Member & Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of different departments and Hon Quan district officials.
Nagoya City is the administrative center of Aichi Prefecture and is the 3rd largest metropolitan area in Japan. With over 2 million inhabitants, Nagoya is predominantly plains and is one of the three major plains on Honshu Island. Nagoya is one of the leading economy in Japan, which is home to many electronics, mechanical, construction, and seafood processing industries. Famous companies in the world such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nikko and Asashi are all located in Nagoya.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Huynh Anh Minh – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee thought highly of the potential of Japanese investors and hoped that Japanese corporations and businesses would invest more in Binh Phuoc.
Mr. Huynh Anh Minh – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed: with its strength in the field of automotive, electronics, finance and processing together with the international market network and good governance ability, once combined with the advantages of resources and infrastructure of Binh Phuoc Industrial Park will bring great benefits for both sides. Binh Phuoc province is committed to working side by side with businesses, ready to create the most favourable conditions for investors’ production and business activities.
According to the strategic plan, by 2020 Binh Phuoc province will have 13 industrial parks with a total area of 4,686 hectares. In particular, Becamex – Binh Phuoc Integrated Township & Industrial Park is the largest and most modern with favourable infrastructure conditions for investors. Currently, Becamex – Binh Phuoc has welcomed over 20 foreign investors from several countries and territories to build production plants.
At the seminar, Japanese businesses learn more about the transportation system connecting Binh Phuoc with Ho Chi Minh City and seaports, transportation network, per capita income per year, and the proportion of trade and services of Binh Phuoc.
These contents were were answered directly by the leaders of the Department of Transport and Department of Planning &Investment. They presented more information about the strategic direction of the investment, expansion of transport infrastructure and solutions to raise the proportion of trade and services.
Japanese businesses highly appreciated the potential and investment incentive policies of Binh Phuoc. Many businesses contacted Becamex IDC and Binh Phuoc province to make investment procedures in the near future.
It can be seen that, with the determination and responsibility of the leaders of Binh Phuoc, the support from the leaders in Japan and the attention from the business community, the direct investment promotion program by Binh Phuoc in Japan in the past week has brought initial results. This shall open up great prospects in attracting large Japanese investors into Binh Phuoc.
