On the morning of 26th April, at the Provincial People’s Committee Office, Provincial Party Committee Secretary Mai The Trung and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung received President of the Republic of Singapore -  H.E.Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife during their visit in Vietnam.

Industrial Development and Investment Corporation – (Becamex IDC)  has just held a conference to summary the activities in 2011 and develop plans of activity orientation in 2012.

Summing up experience from the investment attraction, economic development and international integration, Binh Duong has determined the stability of human resources as a top priority, in which the matter of physical and mental care is a key factor offering sustainable development for economics and society. Therefore, the province has focused on supplying concrete guidance for the deployment and construction of the social housing project in the period of 2011 – 2015 and entrusted the Corporation of Investment and Industrial Development (Becamex IDC), its leading enterprise, with officially commencing this project on 24.02.2012. This is an important breakthrough amongst the high and sustainable development goals proposed by the provincial Party Congress. It is also a new breakthrough in attracting investment capital resources and industrial development. At the same time, it is a motivation of the urbanization program showing the determination of the province in guaranteeing the best life for employees – the residents of the future city, contributing to the development of Binh Duong New City, making Binh Duong become the first class urban area – centrally-governed city in 2020.

In the very first steps of the year 2012, all of Becamex IDC’s staff and employees proudly look back at the year 2011 – the year with memorable activities, events and achievement. To be said, despite the tough economic background in the last year, Becamex Idc has made certain and confident steps to assert it’s valuable brand. The following are some noteworthy points which mark the whole company’s huge efforts in the last year.

In November 2011, Becamex IDC, Vietnam’s largest infrastructure, industrial park developer and operator and one of Vietnam’s larger real estate companies stepped onto the central stage of world business at the APEC CEO Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii. The APEC 2011 CEO Summit with the theme “The Future”Redefined” was held in conjunction with APEC Leaders week. The Summit included interaction with world leaders including US President Barrack Obama, Chinese President Hu Jintao, President Dmitry Mevedev of Russia, President Truong Tan Sang of Vietnam, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia, Prime Minister Julia Gillard of Australia, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore and President Felipe Calderon of Mexico among others.
