Binh Duong province has currently had about 2,000 foreign - invested projects with the total capital investment of nearly USD 15bn and over 13,000 domestic enterprises under operation with the total investment of VND 95,000bn (USD 4.5bn). In the afternoon of November 21st, in the centre of new Binh Duong city, Viet Nam-German University (VGU) organized the opening ceremony of 2011-2012 school year and awarded graduation diplomas to the first master's course. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga, and former Prime Minister of Federal Republic Germany Gerhard Schroder, Ambassador of Federal Republic Germany Claus Wunderlich, German Consul General Conrad Cappell, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Binh Duong province Huynh Van Nhi Binh Duong attended.

As usual, in October each year – Dat Thu football fans back toward Binh Duong stadium to welcome the traditional league of the province’s sports – Bing Duong Television International Football Tournament, the latest feature of this year is Becamex IDC Corporation to become the main donor instead of Tan Hiep Phat Group after 11 continuous years of its donation. In addition, the football league is also funded by other auxiliary sponsors, this presents a strong socialization in sport activities. With a new name, the Binh Duong Television International Football Tournament - also known as the 12th Becamex IDC Cup of year 2011 also has a new face and new vitality.
