TTDT – The Executive Board of Binh Duong Smart City met to hear the report on Binh Duong Smart City Program Implementation Plan in the first 6 months of 2019 at the Center for Provincial Conference and Exhibition on July 18. Mr. Mai Hung Dung – Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Executive Board of Binh Duong Smart City chaired the meeting.

According to the report, in the first half of 2019, departments and organizations focused on implementing the Binh Duong Smart City Program as planned and achieved certain results.  11 key projects in 2019 have been started, of which the Science and Technology Industrial Park project is expected to be a breakthrough in industrial production, a foundational infrastructure for innovative ecosystem, attracting high value-added investment, paving the way for high-tech production which Becamex IDC and its partners have been researching. The meeting also highlighted the preparation of building the complex of the World Trade Center in Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot city and training high – quality human resources. The smart logistics project has also been carried out on scheduled.

At the meeting, participants discussed difficulties and advantages in implementing projects and proposed innovative projects in the field of semiconductor and ICT in the coming time.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung requested that departments and organizations focus on implementing the tasks of 2019. These includes joining the World Trade Center Association (WTCA – a network of more than 300 highly connected, mutually supporting businesses and organizations in nearly 100 countries); continue to remain in the list of 21 cities honored as Intelligent Communities (Smart21), and organizing international scientific conferences for researchers and experts to discuss solutions to building the Binh Duong Smart City; careful preparation for the Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis) 2019 in Binh Duong is one of the most important and urgent work that needs to be done in.
